RETRACTED: Relationship between Basic Thinking Skills and Investigative Attitude in Infants
Main Article Content
Abstract
His study examines the relationship between basic thinking skills and investigative attitude in fiveyear- old boys and girls attending private educational institutions in the city of Ibarra, Ecuador. A quantitative design with a mixed approach and correlational scope was used. The sample comprised Early Childhood Education students selected through non-probabilistic convenience sampling. Previously validated instruments were administered for data collection and analysis, and SPSS software was employed. The findings reveal a direct and significant correlation between basic thinking skills
and investigative attitude, indicating that strengthening these basic skills fosters a disposition toward
inquiry and autonomous learning. Among the implications, the need to reinforce these skills within
the curriculum stands out. A limitation identified was the limited regional literature, which underscores the importance of this research.
