Autoridade policial, socialização legal e justiça processual: Percepções de adolescentes em Guadalajara

A polícia é uma das instituições mais mal avaliadas no México e sua relação com os jovens é frágil. Este trabalho procura identificar quais as variáveis que influenciam a legitimidade policial entre os adolescentes, operacionalizada como a perceção do dever de obediência. Para tal, são utilizados
dados de 1011 inquéritos aplicados a estudantes do ensino secundário da Ãrea Metropolitana de Guadalajara, no âmbito do International Self-Reported Delinquency Study. Os resultados indicaram que, para aumentar a autoridade, é necessário atender os cidadãos de forma diligente, mas aplicar
estratégias de justiça processual. Da mesma forma, foram encontradas diferenças relacionadas com o género entre homens e mulheres, que são discutidas em termos das suas implicações para as autoridades
envolvidas nos processos de socialização legal dos adolescentes.
